It has been winter for some time now, and despite having some temperatures just below freezing, this winter has been very soft when it comes to temperatures. But it also has been extreme in a way. When it rained, it poured, and when there was wind, it stormed. Today was a slow rainy day for a change.
In the morning, on my way to work, it was raining softly. But the Dutch weather is highly unreliable. As it was softly raining in the morning, the rest of the day the weather was fluctuating. It seemed almost as if every half hour the conditions changed. Rain turned in to sunshine, than all of a sudden it started snowing, than there was some rain again, than sun, than a little snow, and so on.
Later that day, I took the picture below. As I traveled home (by train), I looked out the window and saw that it started raining again, but this time calmly, just like the start of the day. Crazy Dutch weather.
